I've been making, playing and recording drums and other percussion instruments for most of my life.Since early childhood I have had visions and dreams of an ancient culture and hope to recall and reveal some aspects of it with my music. My wife, Sally, and I have been recording in the field with a portable dat as well as in our home studio. While traveling in Belize I found many people eager to play and share their music with us. We made a CD called BELIZE 2000, Stann Creek. The Garifuna are a group of people with an African heritage who settled in Honduras, Guatamala and Belize. We recorded them playing and singing with us while we were there.
Our latest endevour, JACK'S CHANTS is a CD we recorded last summer with a few musicians who live fairly close to us in this remote area. Shawn Bristol and Louis Bibbs were from Bullhead City which is at least 60 miles from here. Fortunately, our good friend and bass player, Tony Michaels just lives down the road about 10 miles.

These are made black walnut logs. The walnut is very hard and gives it an excellent tone. I use tighteners to pitch the elk and eland skin heads. | Chain design |
